Divisions and Personnel: Command Staff

The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office Command Staff manages the operations of the Sheriff's Office as directed by the Sheriff. The Sheriff's Command Staff includes the Assistant Sheriff, Captain of Enforcement, Captain of Operations, and the Captain of Court Services The responsibilities of the command staff include the following:

  • Managing the daily operations of the Sheriff's Office and its divisions
  • Managing the budget
  • Managing personnel matters
  • Managing the law enforcement activities in the county
  • Coordinating with other government agencies and public officials
  • Communicating with the public on issues related to the GCSO

Public Information Office

The GCSO Public Information Officer is responsible for coordinating with the media to provide the public with information on matters regarding the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office and public safety. The Public Information Officer prepares and issues press releases as directed by the Sheriff or the GCSO Command Staff.
