FENTANYL, HYDRAULIC PRESS, PACKAGING SEIZED

October 17, 2025: Sheriff Carter Weaver has announced the arrest of a Georgetown man after Georgetown County Sheriff's Office deputies along with agents with the State Law Enforcement Division and officers with the Georgetown Police Department seized over 1,000 grams of suspected fentanyl, a firearm, a hydraulic press, packaging materials and marijuana today.

Mingo Reed, 48, was taken into custody at 1621 Front St., and deputies are seeking warrants for Trafficking Fentanyl and Possession of a Firearm During a Violent Crime.
Reed, who was out of jail on bond for an attempted murder charge, is being held at Georgetown County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
