FOURTH MAN ARRESTED IN ANDREWS HOMICIDE

(November 13, 2025) Sheriff Carter Weaver has announced a fourth arrest in the Oct. 4 shooting death of one man and the wounding of another in the town limits of Andrews.
Tyqese Qumar Bynum-Jackson, 25, of Lane in Williamsburg County has been charged by Georgetown County Sheriff's Office investigators with murder, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in the death of Jonathan Cooper, 21, of Georgetown and the wounding of a 22-year-old Andrews man near the intersection of West Main and Hazel streets, Andrews.
A bond hearing on closed circuit television will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at the Georgetown County Magistrate’s Office, 333 Cleland St., Georgetown, SC.
Others charged in the homicide and being held in Georgetown County Detention Center after having bonds denied are Shiameek Lajuan Alston, 25, and Derrick Lamont Bright Jr., 24, on charges of murder, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and Jimmy Sandrilura Smith, 40, on a charge of accessory after the fact of murder.
