WEDGEFIELD DEATH

October 14, 2025: Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a death in the Wedgefield Plantation community. While the investigation is in its early stages, there are no indications of foul play and no threat to the community at this time.

Investigators were called to the community’s canal near John Green Lane this afternoon, where the body of a man was discovered. The investigation remains ongoing.
