Public Use of the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office Firearms Range

The Citizens of Georgetown County are invited to use the firearms range as long as the range is not in use by law enforcement, reserved, and the user must have a valid permit issued by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office. To receive a permit you must be a Georgetown County Resident (please bring a valid pictured ID and proof of your county residency), pass a background check, Pay a $50.00 fee every two years (The Sheriff’s Office can only take exact cash for payment), and be approved by the Sheriff’s Office Range Master.

The permitted user can use the range at the following times as long as the range is not in use by law enforcement, reserved or closed by the Sheriff:

Mon/Tue/Wed: 3pm to dusk.
Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday: Daylight to dusk.

NOTE:

The Sheriff / Command Staff or Range Master can close the range at any time.
