Applications for the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office Citizens’ Review Board are being accepted from county residents through Sept. 8, 2020, at 5 p.m.

Carter Weaver, Sheriff of Georgetown County, and Yolanda McCray, president and CEO of Black River United Way, have worked together in developing the application form and the screening and selection processes. The form is also available at the sheriff’s office Facebook page and Twitter feed along with the United Way website www.blackriveruw.org and social media, @blackriveruw.

Printed forms will be available at the sheriff’s office, 430 N. Fraser St, Georgetown, SC.

The board will review Use of Force actions taken by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office and make written summaries to the sheriff from their reviews to protect the public interest and promote the integrity of the sheriff’s office.
